The package includes accommodation in a 4-star hotel with BB formula in a room with bathroom equipped for people in wheelchairs and accompaniment with a private guide specialized in accessible tourism in 2 guided tours of half a day each:
Guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica and Vatican Museums.
Here is the “cupolone”, one of the symbols of Rome that indicates the largest Catholic church in the world, a true treasure chest of works of art that is worth visiting and that can be the starting point for a pleasant walk to discover this part of the city. From St. Peter’s Basilica we reach the Tiber, following the route of the famous “Passetto”, to admire the majestic Castel Sant’Angelo, once an imperial mausoleum and then a papal fortress.
Alternatively, continuing from St. Peter’s we can visit the Vatican Museums: admiring their priceless art collections and the Sistine Chapel is an unforgettable experience.
Guided tour to the Jewish Ghetto and the Tiber Island
Walking through the streets of the Ghetto, we will tell the story of the Jewish community of Rome, one of the oldest in the world, from the initial settlement in Trastevere to the Portico d’Ottavia, where the Jews were forced to live for centuries. We will retrace two thousand years of history, from the remains of ancient Rome to the medieval buildings, from the Renaissance quarter to the tragedy of the Nazi deportation. The roar of the river will lead us to the Tiber Island where we will admire from another perspective the dome of the synagogue, different from all the other domes of the capital.
We will stay at a 4 stars accessible hotel, in a standard room (accessible) with living room and breakfast.
The hotel has rooms dedicated to the needs of those who have mobility difficulties, which are therefore free of architectural barriers and equipped with special supports to facilitate the stay and movement of guests.
Ensuring a fully positive dimension of the hotel stay.
