AccessibleItaly is specialized in Italy tours by wheelchair; it deals exclusively with tourism for people with disabilities in Italy and in the Mediterranean basin.
AccessibleItaly usually does not have departures on fixed dates but organizes “tailor-made” trips to meet the requests for accessibility, comfort and safety of its customers.
For the most popular destinations and dates, we accept individual bookings to form SMALL parties and to offer competitive rates.
AccessibleItaly organizes Italy tours by wheelchair: tours and stays using accessible hotels, bed & breakfasts, guest houses, tourist farms or apartments.
Bathrooms and toilets are equipped with roll-in showers, support bars and handles as required by European laws.
Vehicles are equipped with hydraulic platforms to help wheelchairs (including power and very heavy ones) to enter and to be secured inside vehicles while on the move.
The vehicles are insured as required by European laws and driven by professional drivers, used to travel with people using wheelchair.
Some drivers speak English, at least to the level to understand the normal requests.
The vehicles have different sizes and can accommodate from a minimum of 1
wheelchair to over 10 wheelchairs plus an adequate number of accompanying persons.
AccessibleItaly uses professional guides, expert in accompanying people with reduced mobility during visits.
Explanations are available in the main languages.
AccessibleItaly always considers adequate times to avoid excessive fatigue especially when the climatic conditions are uncomfortable.
However, hotels and vehicles are always equipped with air conditioning.
Tailor-made programs take into account the physical needs and resources of our special clients.
